Mike Stefano spent 22 years with the prestigious FDNY, retiring as captain in 2005. He is also the author of The Firefighter's Workout Book (HarperCollins 2000). Mr. Stefano was hand picked by head coach and kettlebell world champion, Valery Fedorenko as Fire / Rescue Advisor to the American Kettlebell Club. True kettlebell lifting technique, as taught by Valery Fedorenko, world champion kettlebell lifter and record holder, will be demonstrated and broken down to its most basic elements during this full day seminar / workshop.

I made the pilgrimage to Long Island to work out with the best - Mike Stefano and Ashley (who like Madonna does not even need a last name). What a great day and I'm lucky indeed to have them -sort of - in my backyard! Next to Fedorenko and his crew, I don't think there are any better coaches out there right now!
Ashley is truly a unique talent! Not only is she a motor genius herself but she is quick to pick up on what everyone else is doing and put them on the right track again. She helped me tremendously! I can't wait for Miami - Ashely is going to have such a good time.
As for Mike - I wish I were his next door neighbor! Oh the training fun to be had. If you are in the area and not training with Mike you are really missing something. It was a great day.

In this time and place where most folks still don't know what a KB is, I was blessed to learn that I live about 20 miles from AKC Coach Mike Stefano. Coach Mike and Coach Ashley, who works with him, are both great. I've had a couple sessions at their training center, and plan to have my progress periodically coached by them.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
This is a training modality where specific technique is heavily emphasized, but once mastered, becomes a tool that gym members and personal training clients can enjoy for a life time.
